OK, guys–we faithfully read your newsletters and pray for you, but we haven’t visited your website to see any of your videos before. We just watched the one of Jake naming all the AC Milan players and we thought it was AWESOME! Our boys got Schevchenkco (I know I spelled that wrong) jerseys this summer when my parents went to Italy–and Collin wore his to soccer practice almost everytime! Of course, all Barry wears to coach in are AC Milan jerseys and warm-ups. Anyways, we thought that video was so great. We love you guys and love to read about how God is using you there. Love, Tiffany

Hi I am Joel’s friend Regina. I spoke with Jason on the phone once…thanks by the way, it is the closest I have been to Italy. I just spent the past couple of hours enjoying the adorable Jake videos, and i just wanted to say your son is precious. I hear about your ministry from Joel and I just wanted you to know I am praying for you. Joel tells me you are amazing people and the more I hear the more I am convinced. I think it is wonderful what you do in Italy. I am learning about the need in Europe and I am thankful God sent your family. Maybe one day he will send me there (i hope!).

Hello there….we read your homepage and pray for you so often…..we are so thankful, Jason, that you are on the mend and putting those pounds on….the Lord has blessed you adn answered so many of our prayers….these are the times Paul would say builds your integrity and courage….and true grit…..and at the same time you rallied so many there together to minister in a new way. Out of all of this you will have many opport no doubt to minister and witness…..PTL.

We read with interest your newsletters…..copies distributed around…..mailed……..Of course, Bill and Jerry keep us updated also, especially on Jake. WE have to remind them sometimes that “we have a grandbaby too”…….ha……..even if she is 6 1/2 years old….ha….they are so proud of you three…….

Things are going well….here……….just that whne Oct 15 hits….the pace begins to hasten…..but that is life and we all must like it……we don’t do anything to slow the horse down…ha.

Know you are excited about Jeremy/Ann coming down soon…….and that Gabe…..those boys are going to have a wonderful time…….and we are so happy your parents/Jana/Joel will be there for Christmas. Really, though don’t feel like they have to have an audience with the Pope…..just feel them well, take them to a soccer game and maybe a fashion show…and your dad will be satisfied……ha.

You know we love you so much and pray for your well being…….we shall continue to pray as you gain your strenght and able to be about your work.

God bless…..

I hope you continue to recover well. I know you’re a Baptist missionary(and a fine one at that)but I figure a couple of shots of whiskey could have fixed you up.

Congrats on a wonderful website. Your “Thoughts on Living Overseas” remind me of the times we were overseas with the U.S. Army — Germany twice, Korea twice, and Japan as well as a few other places I won’t talk about — and I can see ourselves in nearly all you describe. It is fun living overseas if you don’t let it get the best of you. My suggestion: learn to live by faith, listening to Holy Spirit guide you in everything you do. Cheers!

Hello there…just been thinking of you and wanted you to know you are on our hearts/minds so often. Trust you all are well….enjoying the beauties of spring….today was a warm day…but the first so far….we are spoiled for sure.

Trust your work, witnessing opport are going well…and the Lord is showering you with His love and mercies……

We were so blessed during our trip to Brazil…unbelievable blessings…..know your parents have shared a little about it all….planted some seed for them to cultivate and ultimately harvest in the days ahead…..and isn’t that what it is all about?

Jesus said about John the Baptist and others, “some sow so that others might harvest……pray to the Lord of the harvest that there will be sufficient helpers when the harvest time comes…..” well, that is the Criders’ translation of sorts……you get the meaning?

Working my garden again this year. You know these folks in Minden need fresh veggies. And I love to grow them……got beans, butter beans, peas, okra, tomatoes, peppers, egg plants, herbs, onions, cabbage, squash and a few other things…in another week or two we will begin “gathering”. Oh, yes, I have sunflowers, zinneas, periwinkles, daisies, and marigolds all growing in it too……just a general mixture of it all……Sondra uses a word I can’t print to describe my method of gardening…..it has a handle that goes with……….rigging…..you may know it….

Last year we were able to share with some 57 families stuff from the garden…..goal this year is 75……if just a single green bean to the Icthers, etc….ha.

We love you and pray for you so often…..thank you for keeping in touch…

Can you believe it? Jason is 30 today!! He may be 30 but I’m sure I can find ways to get him into trouble just like the good ol’ days. Just a word of wisdom for your birthday, Jason. There are two things that happen to you as you age. One is that you tend to be forgetful. I forgot what the other one is. Happy Birthday Jason!

I really enjoyed the new additions to your website! It is great to see people we have been praying for and to read some of the “fun stuff” you included. We had to laugh at many of the similarities between life in Brazil and life in Italy. I think we might feel right at home there with you! You will be amazed at how so much of that becomes such a part of you that you actually miss it when you get back to the States! Now you know why it is so easy for me to fall asleep while driving in the States – it is just plain boring when compared with driving other places! We love you very much and pray for you daily.

Dear Greenwich’s,
Thinking about and praying for you all every day. Condolences for the loss of GMMarianne. Think your decision not to come back for her service was very wise, though difficult. So pleased Jake is progressing with words (Italian & English) – bet he’s a pistol ! Know the mission there is tedious and frustrating, but you have the strong will and perserverance to make significant headway with your mission. Are you a lone couple now comprising ‘Team Milano’, since the couple will be returning to the states by the end of the week?
Spent nearly a month (Sept)in Indiana helping Eddi’s mom cope with new found lymphoma and her beginning chemo treatments, then nearly 2 wks on cruise up east coast from Baltimore to Quebec, returning on 10-17. Really looking forward to Thanksgiving week in Branson with Lucy, Kal and Hunter, who will be trying his new golf clubs with Kal & me.
We love you all very much and pray for your patience, strength and success. GPLeo & Eddi

I would have never thought that I would live here, but you never know what life has in store for us. I live in the Victory Arts Center south of downtown, basically in the ghetto near Hemphill and Berry. It is so great to hear that you are doing so well. Christina and I will be coming to see you hopefully next summer or the next fall. We’ll see. We have just returned from Madrid, Spain. We are praying for you all and miss you greatly. I thank God that you have been able to adjust and talk about the gospel with some friends already. In Spain the people were very hard to get into a conversation about religion for obvious reasons. Anyway, continue with God’s work and He will prodive the way. Philippian 1:6 says, “He who began a good work in you will see it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Have Faith,
Love in Christ,
Tim and Christina Brown

We enjoy reading your emails! Please keep them coming so we can specifically pray for your needs. All is well at the Berg house. Keith and Heather went to the Bogg a couple of weeks ago as camp counselors. Keith had not been to a church camp, ever! He really had a close encounter with the Lord. It was awesome when he shared it in church.

We spent almost three weeks back in Indiana with family. We have been here three weeks and haven’t started language school yet. We can only imagine what it is like to be in limbo for as long as you have.

We will pray for your requests as you prepare to leave next week. It was difficult for us to leave but we know we are where God has called us to be and He will provide what you need just in time – His time of course.

Keep sending your updates. We want to keep up with you guys. We love you.

Dear Ones: We enjoyed so much the weekend. Your being here for our Ministry/Missions Fair was super..and to man the IMB Booth made it even more super. We loved the time with Jake. Surely, he is a “chip off the old block”…now we don’t know which block: Jason, Ron, Bill or Allyson’s side of the family…but he is a special “chip” and will grow more special when he learns to eat Italian pasta, sausauge and pizza.

We are so privileged to know and serve with your family. You know how dear all of you are and we will be praying for you as you end these few days here and soar off to “serve the Lord in Italy”. We are so proud of you and your willingness to serve in this capacity…”going, but not knowing”…and isn’t that what Abraham, Moses and all the great heroes of faith did? They heard the Lord speak to them, they responded by getting up and going…and He blessed. And He still blesses. Remember that…even though they may not always seem as such…but He never changes…and He is going to provide for you in the future just as He has in the past..

Take heart….stand firm….and just know that many are holding you up in prayer and with our love day by day.

Friends and Family in Christ–
Sondra and Bill Crider FBC Minden, LA

Irmao,

They cannot know the word of life unless we share… Obrigado pelo grande exemplo…

Eu sei que se Deus vos chamou, Ele tambem vos dara os recursos, forcas, auxilio para que voces possam vencer em Italia e facam o trabalho que vos espera. Porque em Cristo nos somos mais que vencedores…Aleluia…

Sem mais nada de momento e desde ja orando por vos.

Desde OBU, Arkadelphia, AR, o seu irmao em Cristo,

Abraao Cristina

I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE! Checked out Jake’s Place tonight. Just sorry I couldn’t hear Jake’s song. He is SO PRECIOUS!

Love to all, Anne Jordan

I was so scared, but we once we got on and buckled in, it was so fun. You are about to do the same thing in moving to Italy..buckle up and enjoy the ride! We’ll have to come see you once your settled. You can get cheap deals from Wales to Italy…someone said.

Allyson & Jason,
Sorry that we only had time to sign the guestbook at the reception on Sunday but we did want to let you know how much we love you and that we will be praying for you. Allyson, you know that you have always been a special person in our lives. The middle school mission trip – remember the van breaking down in Mexico & none of us spoke Spanish & the guys had to help Ken push the van out of the intersection! And then there was the SoulWinners SS class – you guys were such a blessing to me. God had His plan working for & in you then.
Just know that the Greenwich family is on our prayer list and the “frige” so that we think about & pray for you daily.
