HEY Jason!!!! I’m so excited to hear how God is using you in Western Europe! We may be “neighbors” soon if God is calling us to Eastern Europe! We are praying through that process now. I’m so glad to get back in touch with you and look forward to learning more about how you are ministering to the people of Milan. In Him,

Yeah Brax was here….I am supposed to be doing homework while my wife sleeps in this Saturday morning, but I’m on the computer…1 checking you out greenwich and this fabulous site…2 on my own myspace wondering when the next person will email or send a friend request. You are #15 jason, allyson your #16, and your kids are 17, and 18. cool! So that #15 represents like 4 people! Cool. Have a question for you on building my own site. How do you get the cool graphics? Like backgrounds, and icons, and guestbooks, and flashy stuff? I’m like maybe 5 days into the myspace world. So I’m still a myspace newborn. Hope you guys are great! Sweet page!!! |

I always so enjoy hearing your updates and reading your page. Even though we have never met, I feel such pride in the work that Southern Baptists and IMB missionaries are doing all over the world. Please know that you are appreciated and prayed for and remembered. I hope this year brings you more blessings and joy through the work God is doing in Milan!
Ciao! |

Just a note to let you know I’m thinking about you and praying for you! Hope you’re all staying well. Christie had a b-day this last week and will be coming over this weekend to celebrate it with us, as well as with Cindy & Cathy. Cindy took her out for dinner that night. She’s been on a church-wide fast for several weeks, although with her blood sugar problem she can’t be as strict with it as others can. She’s been doing great with it though and says it’s been a great inspiration in her life, with focusing more on God and learning what she CAN do without that used to seem so important (like t.v., sweets, etc.) We’ll be waiting to hear from you when you get home! God Bless!
Love, Mom E. |

| 88. Patti Johnston – 2006-11-14 01:33:40 |
Hi! I am Patti, from San Jose, CA. I found your website from the IMB website. We are having out International Missions Night this week, and we do a fondue night with several of us hosting different tables representing areas where we have missionaries. I chose Italy, Milan specifically, and am going to share your family with the ladies of our church. Your website is great, full of things to let us get to know your family. In fact, after reading it I feel like I truly know you!
I have printed up the virtual prayer walk to share not only with our church, but with my own family as well. I am looking forward to holding your family up in prayer.
I want to thank you for your faithfulness in serving as one of our missionary families. What a blessing to know that there are young couples willing to leave their families and friends so others can come to know our Jesus!
I will be checking in on you for updated prayer request.
Your Sister in Christ,
Patti Johnston

| Just completed Prayer Walk #1. We are appreciative of how easy you have made this for our FBC-Salado, TX members to come on line and pray for you specifically. Your web site is so attractive. We prayed for Jake during his hospital event — now, we rejoice with you in his miraculous recovery. We will pray as he is immersed in Italian at his school and as he learns the language.
Pray for us in America that we will be the representatives of God in a nation that needs God so bad. We will continue to remember each member of your family. Godspeed to you. May His richest blessings abound in your daily lives.

Dear Greenwich Family,
I have been so excited to learn about you. We are the parents of Becky Liles, new missionary to Italy in 2007. Becky just forwarded to me your letter to her answering so many of her questions about living there. She was so excited and says now it makes her want to get there faster. As her mother and grandmother of those 3 precious grandchildren I am so encouraged to hear of such a sweet couple to possibly be their friends and to help them along. Your pictures show that you have a lovely family. Your Jake is an absolute doll. Congratulations on your new baby girl. Just wanted to say HI and tell you we will add your family to our prayer list also.In Christ,

Jason, Allyson, Jake, ….Julia,Hey guys. Just wanted to say that I truly appreciate your dedication to God and His work. You are amazing! You can’t imagine how your prayer letters work in my life….thousands of miles away. I know that you claim God continually humbles you, but He does the same for me. Everytime I get an update from you I am reminded that I REALLY don’t have anything that I can complain about.
Please know that you are all loved and prayed for often.
Love ,
Sherry Alonso
P.S. I love Julia’s name! Beautiful name for a beautiful gift. By the way…my name book shows Julia meaning youthful; fairhaired one and Luciana as the bringer of the light. I thought that was interesting. Hope you do, too! |

| Allyson, Jason and Jake; Wow! When is the girl due? Congratulations! It is awesome that you are getting to see so much of Europe…and even cooler that you are “following your bliss.” (Not my own term…I picked it up from Joseph Campbell.) Anyway – not many people are fortunate enough to do something for a living that they love doing…I just got to that point less than 2 years ago. I haven’t seen nearly as much of Europe as I would like…but my recent trips (for work) include India, Philippines, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. On our way back from India, we stayed in London for a few days. I still haven’t been to Italy, dangit! But that is on our (mine and Jeannie’s) list…hopefully in ’08! Okay; It is good to hear from you. I will do better about being in touch!Deron |

Hi Allyson,Jason and Jake,
We are praying for you and for the mission work you are doing in Milan. Enjoy getting your letters and hearing what is going on and about the people there.
Congratulations on having a little girl soon. I know Lucy is looking forward to her arrival.
Rusty and Misty have a 2 year old boy, named Jeremiah. He is precious and looks like Rusty when he was a little boy. Take care and God Bless! |

Dear Jason and Allyson,
Recently our church (FBC, Salado) adopted a prayer zone in Milan, as you know. Our pastor showed your video during the worship service, and my wife Linda leaned over and said, “She looks like Tiffany’s friend when we lived in Garland, Allyson.” I looked again and said, “Yes, it has to be Allyson Denton! She played the keyboard for the Showboaters.” As you probably realize by now, we are Tiffany Carroll Elkin’s parents. We are thrilled that our church has adopted Zone One and your ministry. I rotated off of our Missions Committee at the end of last year so didn’t know about this beforehand, so it was a pleasant surprise. We didn’t realize that you were serving as missionaries.
I’m sure you are gearing up for the big semifinal game tomorrow and there must be tremendous excitement there. As Tiffany may have told you, both of our son-in-laws played soccer at UMHB and are both coaches, with Barry at Belton, and Oscar moving to Temple this fall, so they will be going head-to-head in the biggest rivalry in the district. It will be tough on the in-laws (and wives).
Linda and I have been to Milan before, so we are a little bit familiar with the city. I have a picture somewhere of me standing in front of the doors of the Duomo, looking like an ant. We will be faithful to pray for your ministry and the city.
And congratulations on the daughter!
In His love,
James(and Linda) Carroll |

| The pictures of BLED are beautiful! It looks like you had a wonderful time. All of you look great. I am curious to hear about the crowd’s reaction to the USA x Italy game! Considering the circumstances, that was probably a pretty good outcome! We love you, Mom (Jake’s MIMI) |

| Allyson, Jason and Jake-Thank you for your home page and the connections it provides! I’m encouraged by your work as missionaries. I just had to stop and say hello. I went to school with your Uncle Carlos and Uncle Nelson. My parents the Sharpleys served with my MK Uncle Bill and Aunt Jerry in Rio. May God give you the strength to continue serving. I’m the Preschool Minister on staff at FBC, Salado and am excited about being a part of your ministry through prayer. I have supported missions since a teen and am now 63.
